The quality and freshness of the fish, along with the skilled workmanship that Andy executes in delivering both a delicious and fine presentation is triumphant. The detailed care that the chef takes in preparing each individual piece of sushi is nothing less than remarkable. My wife enjoyed the Dragonfly Roll with a seaweed salad appetizer and I had the I Love Sushi platter which comes with choice of Miso soup or Ginger side salad. He and our server couldn't have been more friendly, hospitable, and helpful as we considered our many enticing choices offered on the menu. Despite the competition, which is sure to have increased as a result of so many other sushi restaurants opening up in the recent past, Andy had not a disparaging word of any of them. We sat at the Sushi bar and chatted with Andy about sushi, his restaurants, and about the other sushi restaurants in the greater Richmond area, of which he has extensive knowledge.
Owner and sushi chef Andy welcomed us last evening despite our late arrival at 9:10 - they were scheduled to close at 9:30 - and they encouraged us to relax and take our time enjoying our meals. I visited the Ridgefield Parkway location on the evening of the 19th of July with my wife, and we so enjoyed the experience that I returned for lunch today. sushi would be on par with what we had come to expect at the Midlothian location, and we were not disappointed. We were delighted to discover that the owner had opened a sister Sushi-O restaurant on Ridgefield Parkway in Henrico County.
